TCP were appointed to provide Project Management services to support the initial master planning of an existing heavy industrial site (IN3), spanning across 220,000m2. The proposed industrial development project in Port Kembla, NSW aims to establish a modern warehouse facility optimised for logistics, storage and distribution.
The master planning identified the following key development assets for incorporation within the new estate:
- Multistorey Carparking
- Integrated Businesses
- Data Centres
- Battery Storage Banks
- Government Tenancies
- Business Parks
- Water Treatment Facilities
As one of Australia’s key industrial and port hubs, Port Kembla provides strategic advantages in transport connectivity, supply chain efficiency and economic growth potential.
TCP’s feasibility study evaluated the viability of the project by analysing key factors, including site characteristics, proximity to infrastructure, climate considerations and planning opportunities.
A critical aspect of our study is the site’s zoning classification and location in the outer harbour zone, which supports large-scale industrial activities, warehousing and supporting uses. The project involved the assessment of land suitability, access to transportation networks, utility availability and environmental impacts to determine the site’s long-term operational efficiency and economic feasibility.
