The redevelopment of the existing residential apartment building located at 160 Kurraba Road, Kurraba Point aims to enhance both the internal and external aspects of the building; aligning it more closely with the architectural character of the Kurraba Point heritage conservation area (HCA).
The project focuses on upgrading the internal floorplates, complex structural underpinning and rock excavation to increase basement garaging and amenities at street level and making thoughtful external additions to improve the overall design and integration of the building within its historic surroundings.
The existing Class 2 residential building, currently comprising four separate occupiable units, will be renovated and reconfigured to create two new high end luxury apartments. The external façade will be largely preserved, respecting the architectural integrity of the area. Access for both pedestrians and vehicles will continue to be from Kurraba Road.
The project commits to maintaining the charm and heritage of Kurraba Point while bringing thoughtful enhancements to the existing building that will benefit both current and future residents.
